This book was assembled in the middle of the Covid-19 summer of 2020. In addition to the global drama, social isolation and political traumas that colored pubic life, 2020 was the worst year for me personally in 40 odd years. In short, this book was created as a sort of bucket list project, since I had a lot of reasonably good poems scattered here and there in blogs, on Facebook, or in forgotten corners of my computer archives, and thought that I’d like to get them out into the light of day, since “ya never know” regarding longevity was on a lot of minds, including and for reasonably good reasons.

I’m still here, of course, as of this writing, so the book will hopefully turn out to be a mid-course comment, rather than a farewell. But I thought you might want to know that it was conceived in  a serious moment, as a way to light a candle in the dark.
